Scope International Malaysia
(Scope) won the ICT Organisation of the Year Award at the PIKOM 25th Anniversary
Gala Dinner and ICT Leadership Awards held at Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur
on November 18.
Arif Siddiqui, CEO of Scope
received the award from Datuk Seri Dr. Maximus Ongkili, Minister of Science,
Technology & Innovation (MOSTI). Scope was awarded for demonstrating leadership
in
innovation and automation
solutions in the industry, making it the first hub of an international bank to
win the award.
Arif, who was shortlisted
for the CIO Excellence Award, said, “This award is a tribute to the efforts of
everyone at Scope, as our staff has worked very hard throughout the year to help
us achieve our goals. It’s even more special as we are celebrating our 10th year
anniversary this year, and it feels like a reward for our accomplishments
through the years.”
During the ceremony, PIKOM
awarded Yang Amat Berbahagia Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed with the ICT Lifetime
Achievement Award “for his support and contribution to the development of the
ICT industry” during his premiership.
The National ICT Association
of Malaysia or PIKOM is the association representing the ICT industry in
Malaysia to promote it in line with the national agenda. PIKOM ICT Leadership
Awards was conceptualized in year 2008 to honour individuals and companies that
demonstrate ICT best practices in their industry, commending the diligence,
commitment and innovative business strategies required to advance in Malaysia
and the global marketplace.
