Consumer Banking Operations

Established in 2002 with the primary responsibility to serve the Malaysian business, the Consumer Banking Operations Division has since grown to support 5 other countries within the Standard Chartered Bank network, namely Hong Kong , Singapore, Bahrain, Qatar and UAE.


Operating out of two physical locations i.e. Technology Park Malaysia & Petaling Jaya, Consumer Banking Operations supports the activities of five value streams namely, Wealth Management, SME, Consumer Transaction Banking, Lending & Customer Experience.


The units within consumer banking operations comprise the following:

  • Application Processing
  • Accounts Services
  • Merchant and Chargeback
  • Reconciliation
  • Inward Clearing Checks
  • Mortgage Application Processing
  • MIS & Regulatory reporting
  • Risk & Compliance

  • Consumer Banking Operations is expected to double its staff strength over the next few years, run on double-shifts and operate 7 days a week to support the exponential growth of the Bank.
