March 2009 – GSSC KL staff recently visited two charity homes : Baitu Saidati Khadijah Orphanage & Home for Poor Children and the Taman Megah Handicapped & Disabled Children’s Home.

To raise funds for the first charity home, volunteers from GSSC KL’s Consumer Banking Operations sold breakfast and tea items for a whole week. RM3078 was raised. Donations in kind were also received for the orphanage, such as two double decker bed frames, pillows, mattresses, stationery sets and food items. During the visit to the Home, CB Ops staff arranged motivational games and brought along a clown performing magic tricks to entertain the children. The children loved the clown who also gave them funny balloons.

During the visit to the Taman Megah Handicapped & Disabled Children’s HoHoHome, GSSC KL staff distributed clothing, school bags and soft toys to the children.
