Living with HIV

Standard Chartered has responded to the global HIV/AIDS pandemic through our Living with HIV programme, a global policy aimed at protecting basic human rights, promoting the health of our employees and keeping the business costs associated with HIV/AIDS to a minimum.


As part of the Standard Chartered Group, Scope International Malaysia is highly committed to the Living with HIV programme . Through the programme, we strive to:


  • Raise employee awareness of HIV/AIDS, how it spreads, how it can be prevented and how to care for those affected by HIV.

  • Make sure all our people understand our approach to HIV/AIDS.

  • Remove the stigma of HIV/AIDS so that more people come forward for testing and treatment.

  • Educate local communities about the prevention and treatment of HIV.

  • Share our knowledge with other organisations.


    Recognition of Standard Chartered as a thought leader on the area of HIV/AIDS is reflected in our support of the Clinton Global Initiative to educate one million people about HIV/AIDS over three years. We have launched a new partnership programme to share our expertise and educational resources with organisations that want to educate their employees or members in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
