Scope International Broadens Reward and Recognition

Recognition for creativity and innovation

Kuala Lumpur, Friday, 15 December 2006 - Scope International Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Standard Chartered Bank, proudly celebrated its first IDEAL Graduation Ceremony.  The graduation ceremony was held at Scope International HQ at Enterprise 4 Auditorium, Technology Park Malaysia.

The IDEAL Graduation Ceremony is an event that recognizes and rewards staff from both Scope International and Standard Chartered Bank, who has successfully completed a project resulting in improvement of service delivery, consistency of service and productivity of the organization’s being the right partner to customers. Selected staff is required to sit for an exam and attain a minimum score of 80% before being deemed as IDEAL Accredited.

Edwin Nevis, Head of Kuala Lumpur Global Shared Service Centre and Chief Information Officer Malaysia welcome the graduates & specially invited guest Arjun Dosaj, Group Head of IDEAL Metholodoly and Dominic White, Group Head Organisation Effectiveness from Standard Chartered Singapore.

Edwin said, “The Ideal graduation day is a very important day in the live of our staff. It means that through their courage and commitment, they have achieved their goals by solving business problems with creativity and innovation.

Additionally, Edwin said, “Consistency of service, innovation and creativity is an important competitive edge to have. IDEAL provides the process, monitoring and benchmarking that will strengthen our competitive edge through service innovation and creativity.”

Sixty employees from Scope International and Standard Chartered were selected for the IDEAL Graduation. Each candidate is given an IDEAL Accredited Certificate and a Gift Pack. The ceremony was followed by prize giving to the winners of the treasure hunt and games held by Scope International.  

Also present were Azizan Ahmad, Head of Wholesale Banking Operations, Dominic Mascrinas, Head of Consumer Banking Operations, Ho Huah Jin, Head of International Trade Opereations, Nor Aina, Head of Human Resources, Goh See Wee, Head of ITSC, Arif Siddiqui, Head of ISCM and Manicka, Head of Senior Manager-Quality.
