KUALA LUMPUR, 24 NOVEMBER 2008 – Staff of Scope International, a wholly owned subsidiary of Standard Chartered Plc., United Kingdom, made their annual contribution of food supplies, household necessities and seventy schoolbags to the Taman Megah Handicapped & Disabled Children’s Home yesterday. This year, contributions amounting to RM13,000, made up of personal staff donations, were presented to the children.

Founded in 2001 by the late Mr Manikumar A/L S.Kanan, recipient of the Malaysian Lifetime Humanitarian Award, the Home shelters 128 children of all races from across Peninsular Malaysia with various disabilities resulting from Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Dwarfism, other physically and intellectually-disabled children, as well as those from unprivileged and broken families.
